From the President -

As Veterans Day 2014 comes to a close, use this as a launching pad for honoring our Veterans every day and from each day forward.  Thanks to everyone who came out this year to honor our military men and women.

Seeing our World War II Veterans smile and stand taller as their names were announced and they received their applause was truly heartwarming.  We are so pleased that our events were as successful as they were.  We thank our supporters, our sponsors, and most importantly - our Veterans for their assistance in making this year our best.

Please mark 07 November 2015 on your calendars for next year!

33rd Annual Atlanta Veterans Day Parade and Freedom Ball

Saturday, November 8, 2014

Honor our Nation's Veterans by supporting the annual parade in downtown Atlanta, GA. Presented by the Georgia Veterans Day Parade Association of Atlanta, Inc., the 33rd Annual Atlanta Veterans Day Parade will be held on Saturday, November 8, 2014. Our great city has a history of wonderful support for parades throughout the year and we hope that you will join us in saying thanks to a group of great Americans who protected the freedoms we all hold dear.  The Atlanta Veterans Day Parade will pay tribute to roughly three-quarters of a million Georgia Veterans and their families.

We are very pleased to announce that this year's theme for the Parade and Freedom Ball is:

 Pathway to Victory

"From D-Day to Tokyo Bay"

2014 Commemorative Challenge Coin

We are pleased to announce the release of our 2014 Challenge Coin.  For the past four years, we have enjoyed the opportunity to give our gold Commander's Coin to our valued partners and supporters.  Last year, we were asked to create copies of these coins in silver that would be available to everyone who makes donations.

This year's coin covers four key events of World War II - The D-Day Airborne Operation, B-17s dropping bombs over Germany, our Marines landing on a Pacific Island, and the USS Missouri in Tokyo Bay for the Japanese Surrender.  We also are pleased that the four quadrants of the coin pay respect to all four main branches of our Armed Forces at that time - US Army, US Army Air Corps, US Marines, and the US Navy.

To receive this year's Silver Commemorative Challenge Coin, you need only make a $15 donation via PayPal at the bottom of this page.

Please join us in saying thanks!

Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen and Marines have all given their time, and often their lives, to protect our freedoms. They answered the call when our Nation needed them most. And now they deserve our honor and respect. We invite you to take this opportunity to say thanks and show your appreciation by participating in this patriotic event.

Since 1981, volunteers from veteran groups, active duty Military and civic minded community members have been staging a Veterans Day Parade in Atlanta. We invite you to join us. The 2014 Veterans Day Parade will be on Saturday, November 8, 2014 at 11:11 am in downtown Atlanta. The Parade Reviewing stand is by the World of Coca Cola on Baker Street.
