JAMES MADIO has established himself as an actor with the formula for longevity. He landed his first role in Steven Spielberg’s Hook and never looked back. On the set of Hook, Dustin Hoffman was impressed enough with Madio’s talent to suggest him for the role of his son in the film Hero. That same year he appeared as the younger version of the title character in the independent film Mac, starring John Turturro (in his directorial debut). James then went to star along side Leonardo DiCaprio and Mark Wahlberg in the acclaimed The Basketball Diaries.
He ventured into the independent film world, accepting lead roles in movies such as The Gifted, in which he played a naturally gifted violinist, and If Tomorrow Comes as the mentally challenged younger brother of James Franco. His strive for more led him to his second tour with Spielberg, in arguably the best mini-series of all time, HBO’s award-winning Band of Brothers. James praises the experience as "monumental and life altering" and continues his close relationship with Sgt. Frank Perconte.
He has also worked quite a bit in television, appearing in episodes of Bones, CSI: Miami, Cold Case, Arli$$, Las Vegas and JAG. James lent his voice in DreamWorks' blockbuster animated movie Shark Tale, and also in the Call of Duty video game franchise.
James is a board member with the World War II Foundation and supports many events that honor the sacrifices of our Veterans.
