ROUTE THIS YEAR!

Dear Brother and Sister Veterans and Fellow Americans,
Please join us Tuesday, November 11 for the 27th Annual Veteran's Day Parade and the Veterans Day Ball that evening. As veterans and Americans, we want to take this special day to remember and honor those who served, fought, died, and are still missing in action in defense of freedom.
Major General William T. Nesbitt is 2008 parade Grand Marshal
Major General William T. Nesbitt is The Adjutant General (TAG) of the Georgia National Guard.
Downtown Atlanta route & enjoy downtown attractions, too
As always, the parade will begin at 11:11 a.m. This year, however, we'll marshal on West Peachtree Street near Pine Street, then go south on Peachtree Street through downtown and on to Centennial Olympic Park. The park is near the Georgia Dome, Georgia Aquarium, CNN Studios and other attractions. So, you can honor veterans --- and make a day of it downtown, too.
We hope your organization will attend the parade and will include a marching unit, float or vehicle (see participation form ). There is no entry fee. We will mail parade day instructions about two weeks before the parade. In September, we'll send out invitations to the banquet, which will be held at 1800 hours at the Ritz-Carlton Downtown.
We need your financial support, too
Each year, our small group of volunteers --- veterans, supporters, members of veteran groups and active-duty military --- coordinates this special community event. It takes a lot of money to pay for insurance, postage, printing, and other expenses needed to make the parade a reality. That's why the parade simply won't happen without financial support from you and others in the community. We hope we can count on your support ( see sponsorship form). This is your parade and we hope you will be a part of your day.
